We do our best to ensure that the materials we use are not harmful in any way to the world around us. Instead we favour a more mindful and considered approach towards how we make our products.
Our Denim is made from 100% biodegradable cotton which makes up the main body of the masks in our denim range. We have been recycling our fabric stock and will now be moving on to sourcing our fabric from the Organic Textile Company.
The elastic we use comes from Austria, made from 62% organic cotton and 38% natural rubber. This is a more responsible alternative to conventional elastics, in addition to being both recyclable and biodegradable.
Our bindings are made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester. Whilst cotton is able to biodegrade with ease, polyester is much more stubborn. That being said, we are are actively searching for a form of binding which will make your mask even more earth friendly.
Good news - you can reuse your ribbon bindings! Simply remove them from the mask when it's time to say goodbye, and repurpose them as you like. We love using ours for wrapping presents or tying flowers, but it is up to you how you give them a new lease of life!
Our bindings and ties are both sourced from Frumble, and our elastic from James Tailoring. In addition to sourcing materials responsibly, our ambition is to support any small, independent businesses we can.
